October 17th 3rd street

Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, October 17th at 9:30 a.m.

Everything is starting to cool down so make sure you get your wetsuit needs before it’s too late!

Surfing at Folly this morning is shin to knee high. Not a ton of energy in the water today so it doesn’t seem like the tide push will not be much of a factor for better or worse waves. Just take a log and pray for the best if you just must surf.

Winds are north-east at 5-10 knots, providing a little bit of texture to the waves and certainly adding to the chill factor to say the least.

We have a low tide this morning at 11:33 a.m., and a high tide this afternoon at 6:00 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 4.6 feet at 6 seconds in a high-angled, north-east wind swell.

We see similar north-east wind swell for the remainder of the work week. Likely something to ride on the bigger board, but not great. Tropics are quiet for now, but we’ll keep you updated.

Our friends over at NOAA predict that, “a high pressure will remain across the region through Saturday. A cold front will move through Sunday night, followed by another area of high pressure”. Our wave future is lame at best right now.

Its 64* today with a high of 69* and sunny all day so get outside and enjoy this beautiful day ya nerds!

Sunrise was 7:26 a.m. Sunset 6:45 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
