October 1st 4th Street

Good morning! This is Eazy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, October 1, at 9:05 a.m.

Surf is dropping a ton from the beautiful last night slabs rolling through but still looks fun if you have some free time to send it.  Waves are looking to be in the knee- stomach high range with an occasional chest high set at favorable spots of course.

Winds are NE 10-15kt with 20kt gust. So, there is a little bit of texture but overall, pretty good shape and conditions.

We just came off a low tide this a.m.  are approaching a high tide at 3:47 p.m., low tide will be at 10:08 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is showing 5.4 feet at 10 seconds in a long period swell.

Our friends at NOAA predict, “As Hurricane Imelda moves east-northeast further away from the Southeast U.S. coast, a Canadian high pressure will shift down across the region and prevail through the end of the week”. So, let’s hope we get some lingering swell to shred for a day or two!

Water temperature is around 76*.

It is 70* and cool this morning. Look for a sunny day with some wind around and a high of 78*.

Sunrise was 7:14 a.m., Sunset 7:05 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
