Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, Oct. 26 at 8:30 a.m.
Come see what’s new for fall in for men and women in flannels and fleece tops from all of your favorite surf brands. We also have new Ocean Surf Shop hooded fleece in stock. All of our neoprene is on the floor as well, so you can keep surfing as it cools off.
Surf at Folly this morning is knee-to-thigh high in choppy east wind swell could build some throughout the day.
We have east winds at 10-to12 knots, and surf zone is choppy and weak.
Look for winds to continue east today at 10 to 15 knots, and small wind swell will build a bit on the incoming tide and stay choppy.
We have a low tide at 1:02 p.m today, and a high tide will be at 7:17 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.9 ft. at 5 in East wind-swell.
Small, choppy easterly wind swell is in the forecast for today. Look for swell to build slightly throughout the day today with onshore winds prevailing and picking up some. This wind-swell looks to peak tonight into tomorrow morning before fading out Sunday afternoon into early next week. Tropical Storm Olga formed yesterday afternoon although she is way west outside our window. Looking into next week we see a strong NE swell which will have to much angle for our beaches and Florida as always looks to pick up that swell. We will keep you posted on any updates throughout the work week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will shift offshore into the weekend as low pressure moves north out of the Gulf of Mexico and into the Great Lakes region. A cold front will push offshore Sunday night and meander near the area through mid-week before a stronger coldfront pushes off the coast by week's end.”
We have nice beach weather, It’s 72* with sunshine and some clouds. Look for partly cloudy skies and a high of 78* today.
Water temperature is still around 73*.
Sunrise is at 7:31 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:35 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
