Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, October 9 at 8:00 a.m.

You can now park in right-of-way on the side streets at Folly Monday through Thursday. Keep in mind parking restrictions still apply Friday through Sunday. Check the City of Folly Beach’s Web site for more information.

We still have a mandatory mask ordinance in effect for Folly Beach.

We just received another shipment of Gary Wilson surf-boards. Come check out the new stock.

Surf at Folly is basically flat might push a log when the tide fills in this morning. But a killer sunrise.

Winds are light and variable making clean morning conditions.

Look for winds to turn East later today 5-10mph adding some surface chop to it.

We came off a low tide at 7:09 a.m. High tide is at 1:37 p.m., and low tide will be at 8:03 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is down. Surfline showing 1.9ft at 8 seconds in SE swell.

Surfs continued its fading trend as expected pretty flat out on Folly this morning. Saturday surf should begin to build in fresh ESE swell compliments of a offshore high-pressure and remnants of Hurricane Delta move into our marine area. Onshore flow will build surf into the waist to chest high area. This size should hold into early next week. We also have a low in the Eastern Atlantic starting to fire up although its got a rough road ahead as it heads into unfavorable environments for further development. Either way plenty of surf in the forecast for the next few days!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for:  “High pressure will persist to the north through Friday. A warm front will lift north through the area this weekend as the remnants of Hurricane Delta pass far to the west. High pressure will return by the middle of next week.”

It’s 75* with SUNSHINE mixed with clouds. Look for Sun to continue to shine today with clouds building in late evening. We’ll see a high of only 81*.

Water temperature is 73*.

Sunrise is at 7:16 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:58 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
