Wave Forecast: knee high
Traffic: none
Parking: plenty
Dangers: nada

Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, Sept 19 at 8:30 a.m.

We have lots of new neoprene jackets and spring-suits on the floor, so come get one as it starts to cool off in the coming weeks.

Surf at the Pier is averaging knee high. Can get into a few on a log this morning.

Winds are WNW at 5 knots and surf is glassy.

Winds are expected to be light and variable throughout the day.

Tide is low this morning at 10:09 a.m., and high tide will be at 4:47 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 2.6 ft. at 4.5 seconds in a mix of medium period ESE ground swell and WSW wind swell.

Look for mostly minimal, but clean surf today. Weather patterns will be shifting throughout the week, but it looks as though we might have some low-pressure systems and cold fronts moving across the area in the coming days, possibly bringing small windows of ground swell.  For now, the tropics aren’t doing much, but we’ll hope for more swell-producing, non-damaging systems to move our way soon.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will slowly move SE over the area today and tonight, as low pressure along the front also moves SE and strengthens. The low then will weaken Thu into Thu night as it moves SE and passes N of Bermuda. High pressure will build across the N waters late Thu into Fri, then will shift E of the area Fri night.”

It’s 79* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 89* and sun today.

Water temperature is 82*.

Sunset is at 7:20 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:06 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
