Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, September 21 at 8:15 a.m.

The Sea and Sand Festival takes place tomorrow on Center Street. Come see us at the shop while you’re wandering around and celebrating the first day of fall!

Surf at the Pier is averaging knee high, maybe an occasional thigh high.

Winds are NE at 10 knots and surf is textured and slightly side shore.

We see east winds this afternoon remaining around 10 knots.

We have a low tide at 11:50 a.m., and the next high tide will be at 6:22 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 3.9 ft. at 5.3 seconds in an ENE wind/swell combo.

We have minimal surf today with fairly choppy conditions. Winds are expected to remain light out the E all weekend, however we are going to be experiencing high pressure into next week, making surf weak and minimal. Look for an increase in conditions starting the middle of next week, plus some movement in the tropics.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail into early next week. A coastal trough may impact the area towards the middle of next week, followed by a cold front near the end of next week.”

It’s 77* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 83* and sun today. Water temperature is 83*. Sunset is at 7:20 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:06 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
