Pier Wednesday June 25

Good morning ya Buncha nerds, this is Eazy-E with your surf report & forecast Wednesday, June 25th coming to you from the pier at 9:30.

It’s looking like it will be another heat blast of the day with minimal wiggle power stemming from mother ocean and the sun beaming down on us all day long. Summer is HERE!

Winds are currently coming from the SW at 5kt with gusts up to 10kt. Winds will stay relatively consistent throughout the day with a slight bump up to 15kt as the day continues.

We had a high tide this morning around 8:29 a.m. Look for a low tide this afternoon at 2:20 p.m., followed by a high tide tonight before sunset at 8:59 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 2.3 ft at 8.3 seconds coming out of the SE.

Our guys and gals at NOAA predict: “Hot and humid conditions are expected to continue with rain chances increasing today into late week as surface troughing begins to form near the region and a few upper disturbances pass through. A few thunderstorms may become strong to severe on Wednesday”. So other then a little chance of a thunderstorm late afternoon, its really going to be super-hot and pretty weak wave energy as far as the surfing goes.

Water temperatures are boiling, sitting at a toasty 83*

Again, another beautiful morning on the island. It is currently 84* and sunny. Look for a high of 87* with clouds scattered here and there.

Sunrise was at 6:14 a.m. and the sunset will be at 8:32 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for today’s Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
