Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, November 25, at 8:30 a.m.
Hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving. We want to let you know we are thankful for you and the Folly surfing community for supporting Ocean Surf Shop.
Waves at the Washout are thigh to waist high with some plus sets on occasion.
Winds are NW at 5 to 8, and surf is clean.
We expect WSW winds averaging 10-15 knots later today, and surf should be semi-clean, but this wind will probably beat the surf down a bit.
We have a high tide at 12:06PM, and a low tide at 6:3PM.
Edisto buoy is reading 4.6 ft. at 10 seconds in ESE swell.
Thigh to waist swell in the water this chilly, Saturday morn. We should have some rideable, fun surf all day today with bigger sets coming as the tide comes in mid-day. Sunday looks to have some rideable surf as well.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Low pressure will track along the coast today. A cold front will then shift through the area late Saturday night followed by mainly dry high pressure into the middle of next week.”
It’s a cold 48* with Sun. Expect sun today and a high of 67*.
Water temperature has dropped to 60*.
Sunset is at 5:14 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:57a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
