Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, April 14 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at the Washout is running knee to thigh high with waist high sets. Best for a longboard or a fish.
Winds are very light out of the south-east, and we expect winds from the south at 10 to 15 this afternoon adding chop to the surf zone.
We are coming off a high tide this morning, low tide will be at 1:27 p.m. The next high tide will be at 7:41 p.m.
The Edisto buoy reading 3.6 ft. at 7 seconds in a combination of east/south-east swell and south/south-east wind swell.
Surf should build to thigh to waist high with perhaps a bigger set mid-afternoon in choppy conditions. A cold front approaches overnight, and swell will increase Sunday in big choppy south wind waves, with gale warnings in effect by Sunday afternoon with south winds gusting to 35 knots. Swell fades and cleans up form Monday morning, before dropping off Monday afternoon.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail today. A strong cold front will move through Sunday afternoon and evening with high pressure then returning through Wednesday. A weaker and mainly dry cold front will move through Thursday night followed by high pressure once again through the end of the week.”
We have nice beach weather today. It is 62* and mostly cloudy. Look for a high of 76* and clouds this afternoon with a chance of showers late day.
Water temperature is around 63*.
