Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Saturday, April 6th at 9:00 a.m.
Surf at Folly is flat, but windy and cold. So, we have that going for us.
Winds are light out of the North this morning at 15kts. Winds decrease throughout the day and stay northerly
We have a low tide is at 12:38 p.m. and a high tide at 6:49 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 1 ft at 12 seconds out of the ENE
Surf is pretty flat as high pressure has built back over our marine area. This trend continues through today into early next week. Long range models suggesting a moderate/strong low pressure forming in the northern gulf later next week we will see what it does and get a more accurate understanding in the days to come. Flat for now but hope on the horizon later next week.
NOAA Marine Forecast: “High pressure will prevail into early next week. A storm system will impact the region by mid to late week.”
The water temp is around 63. Its 51 degrees with wind and sunshine with high of 63*.
