Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, August 28 at 8:30 a.m.

We received a 10-board shipment of Solid Surfboards. Mostly long-boards and mid-lengths. They look beautiful. Come check them out.

Surf at the Washout is waist-to-stomach high. There will likely be a bigger set as the tide comes in.

There’s an east wind on it at about 10 to 12 knots, and surf zone is choppy.

Definitely some leftovers from the swell yesterday, but it does not have great form.

Winds are predicted to continue east this morning, rotating more onshore this afternoon and going south-east at 10 to 15 later today.  We see a choppy surf zone all day.

We are coming off a low tide this morning. High tide is at 12:48 p.m., and low tide will be at 7:04 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 ft. at 6 seconds in a short-period east/south-east swell.

There are still some chunky, choppy waves this morning averaging waist-to-stomach high, with a bigger set likely as the tide comes in. Surf looks to remain basically the same all day fading some as the tide goes out late afternoon. Look for surf to fade out some on Sunday and into the coming work week. We see another south/south-west wind swell mid-week as a cold front approaches our marine area.
