Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, December 16 at 8:30 a.m.

We will be open for normal business hours today from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Happy holidays!

Surf at Folly this morning is flat.

Winds are north/north-west at 10 knots, and surf zone is clean and weak.

Look for winds to go west this afternoon at around 10 knots. Surf-zone stays clean today.

Low tide is at 11:17 a.m., and high tide will be at 5:17 p.m.

Virtual buoy data is reading anything worth mentioning, as off-shore flow is pushing swell away from our beaches.

We aren’t looking at too much surf for the weekend, as high pressure sets up, and temperatures remain chilly. Our next chance for meaningful swell will be later in the work week into New Year’s Eve, when another strong cold front approaches, and choppy south wind-swell picks up Thursday and Friday.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “Cold high pressure will prevail through the weekend. A cold front will pass through the region Monday night, followed by high pressure into mid week. Another cold front will likely impact the area later in the week.”

It’s cold. It is 30* at the beach this morning with bright sunshine. We expect a high of only 44* with sun all day.

Water temperature has dropped to 54*.

Sunrise is at 7:20 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:20 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
