Surf at Folly is thigh-to-waist high. There is a slightly larger set, but it is kind of weak in a leftover south-west wind swell.
Winds are west/north-west at 10 to 15 knots, and surf is pretty clean.
Look for north-westerly winds at 10 to 15 knots today, and surf zone stays clean as waves continue to drop off.
We have a high tide at 10:43 a.m., and a low tide will be at 5:14 p.m.
Virtual buoy data is showing 2.5 ft at 6 seconds in a rapidly dropping south-west wind swell
Surf should fall off today after the high tide this morning. After this frontal passage, we don’t really expect too much surf over the next several days as high pressure sets up over our marine area, keeping off-shore flow in the forecast much of next week.”
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will extend across the region through Sunday. A weak low pressure system is expected to move up the coast Sunday night into Monday. High pressure will then rebuild over the area and persist through much of the week.”
It’s a beautiful morning at the beach. It’s 46* with sun. Look for sun and increasing clouds later with a high of 60* today.
Water temperature is around 61*.
Sunrise is at 7:06 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:12 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
