Good morning, this is Charlie with your Folly Beach surf report and forecast and here for yet another morning of disappointment to tell you that it’s flatter than a pancake… It is Saturday, December 7th at 8:45 a.m. coming from The Washout.
It’s cold out there today, wouldn’t recommend squeezing into a wetsuit and freezing your buns off for absolutely no waves… but hey, maybe numb toes and shattered dreams are your thing! (No judgement)
Winds right now are coming from the north at about 8 mph with 12 mph gusts. Winds will switch later in the afternoon coming from the south-east at 3 mph with gusts up to 7 mph.
High tide will be at 12:04 p.m., and low tide will be at 6:27 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.6 ft at 9.1 seconds out of the E.
Looks like it’ll stay flat throughout the weekend but there is some hope in the forecast for later next week. Come stop by the store and gear up on neoprene because it’s only getting colder from here.
Water temperature is around 61*.
It’s 39* and mostly sunny. Todays high is 50*.
Our guys and gals at NOAA Marine Weather Forecast call for: “High pressure will build into the region through the weekend. A cold front will likely impact the area by the middle of next week.”
Sunrise was at 7:09 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.
Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
