Wave Forecast: thigh-waist+
Traffic: None
Parking: Plenty.
Dangers: Foggy

Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Saturday, January 27th at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at the Washout is around thigh-waist high, waist+ on the sets, and a little soft with the high tide. It’s glassy and the fog is getting thicker. Looks like a few fun ones are sneaking through.

Winds are currently slack and surf is clean. Winds look to stay pretty light throughout the day. Tonight winds will become 10-15 kts out of the south.

High tide was at 8:45 a.m. Low tide will be at 2:58 p.m. Next high tide is after dark at 9:05 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 3.3ft at 9 seconds in a medium period SE swell.

Today is the best chance for clean waves. Tomorrow we see winds pick up and some chop to the surf a bit. May be a little clean up at the end of the day on Sunday, but chances are low. As we enter the work week surf really drops off.

NOAA Forecast: “A cold front will push through early Sunday, followed by high pressure into the middle of next week.”

Current water temp: 51*.

It’s 61* and foggy this morning. Look for a high of 66* and mostly foggy/cloudy today.

Sunrise is 7:17 a.m., Sunset 5:47 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
