Saturday, January 28

Very clean. Should stay pretty clean all day.

Time of Report: 9 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flat.
Traffic: Not too bad. Picking up for afternoon.
Parking: Yes. Some parking.
Dangers: Flat spell.

Good morning this is Brad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, January 28 at 8:30 a.m.

New Odysea boards have arrived at the shop, as well as men’s and women’s Reef and Rainbow sandals. Come check it out.

We also have a short run of Billabong hoods and gloves if you need some for your next cold water session.

Surf at Folly this morning is super flat.

Winds are light and variable, and surf zone is clean.

Winds should continue variable around 5 to 8 knots today, and surf zone will stay relatively clean all day.

It’ll be a nice day for a walk on the beach, just bundle up a little bit

We are coming off a low tide. Tide is incoming with a high at 1:14 p.m. Low tide this afternoon at 7:16 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.3 feet a 7 seconds in a medium period south-east swell pushing against a small, short-period north-west wind swell.

Surf looks small until the oncoming tide on Monday afternoon, when we should see a slight bump in south wind swell, but nothing great. Another storm system later in the work week could kick up some rideable waves Thursday into Saturday, so that will be the best thing to keep an eye on next week.

The NOAA Marine Weather forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will prevail today. A storm system will bring impacts to our area Sunday into early Monday. Another storm system is possible towards the middle of next week.”

It’s 42* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 54* and sun with a few hazy clouds in the mix.

Water temperature, it’s 55*.

Sunrise is at 7:18 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:49 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
