Surf is waist-shoulder high and building in fresh S wind-swell, its not looking to great winds are cranking at the moment possible late day cleanup.
Currently winds are blowing 20-30mph out of the south its blown out and not looking to great.
Low tide is at 9:37 a.m. High tide is at 3:17 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is currently reading 8.5ft at 7 seconds from the south south-east.
Surf again is on the rise showing sets up to shoulder high, winds are currently cranking and its pretty blown out. Surf should continue to build as we have a system crossing over northern Florida as we speak. It’s a close call if we get a late day cleanup. Winds rotate out of the west overnight and hopefully we wake up to some leftover swell Sunday morning. Sunday surf should fizzle out as the day progresses and the surf will then turn flat to begin our work week. Tuesday Look for winds to begin coming from the south and rapidly increasing blowing up to gail force, surf is going to rapidly build again on Tuesday from an approaching system from our west. Unfortunately winds to look to turn offshore overnight Tuesday and blow pretty hard, so again hopefully we have some leftover swell on Wednesday morning. Cleanup Timing isn’t on our side these two swells but we will have surf. All for now.
NOAA Forecast: “A storm system will move through the region today, followed by high pressure later in the weekend through early next week. A stronger storm system will impact the area Monday night through Tuesday night. High pressure will briefly rebuild during the middle of next week, before the next system arrives late in the week.”
Current water temp: 58*.
It’s rainy this morning! 56* this morning with a high of low 60s* rain should turn to partial sunshine later today.
Sunrise is 7:22 a.m., Sunset 5:26 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
