Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, June 11 at 8:30 a.m.

Come see us at the shop. Summer is in full swing, and we have tons of new summer apparel for men and women here at Ocean.

Surf at The Washout is flat-to-knee high.

Winds are east at 5 to 8 knots, and surf zone is bumpy and weak.

Look for south-east winds at 10 knots this afternoon. We see semi-choppy, weak surf later today.

Low tide will be at 11:31 a.m., and high tide will be at 6:05 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.3 feet at 7 seconds in a medium-period, north-east wind swell, which is heading south of our beaches.

Not much cooking out there swell wise for today. We should see a stronger, choppy south-west wind swell pick up Sunday into Monday.  It’ll be drifty and choppy, but should increase in size in the thigh to waist high range. This wind swell will fall off mid-week as high pressure sets up over our marine area.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “A warm front will lift across the region this weekend. High pressure is expected to build into the region and will likely linger through the rest of the work week.”

It’s 78* and cloudy this morning. Look for a high of 82* with showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for afternoon.

Water Temperature is around 82*.

Sunrise is at 6:11 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:27 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
