Winds are west at around 10 knots, and surf zone is side-shore, but fairly clean. Best for the longboard if you want to get a glide in.

Winds continue generally from the west at 10 knots today as a weak cold front drops into the area this afternoon, brining thunderstorms and some variable winds.

Surf is rideable but not great this morning. We see side-shore westerly winds today and semi-clean conditions with surf averaging thigh high on the lower tide late afternoon. Winds rotate more north-east after the frontal passage for Sunday, and surf will drop off to the knee high range to start the work week. We see surf pick up again in another choppy south-west wind Tuesday into Wednesday as another frontal boundary approaches our marine area.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather forecast calls for: “A weak cold front will drop in from the north late today. Then another front could approach the region by the middle of next week.

It’s 79* and sunny at the beach. Look for a high of 84* with a good chance for thunderstorms and showers on-and-off today.

Water temperature is around 80*.

Sunrise is at 6:11 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:28 p.m.
