Saturday, June 1st

Semi-choppy

Time of Report: 8:45 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flat. Maybe knee.
Traffic: Moderate
Parking: Some.
Dangers: High golf-cart count.

Happy June ever’body, this is Chad with your surf report for June 1st at 8:45 a.m.
Come by the shop and check out our selection of boards. We have TONS of new shapes from Secula, Orion, Stewart, Pyzel, Rusty, G. Wilson, Quiet Flight and all the softboards you need to get you out there. Come get immersed in Ocean.
The surf’s small, but it feels great out. So we have that going for us. Something to push the kiddos into on the incoming tide, but with some wind on it. Beach renourishment is to the right of the pier today.
Winds are out of the east at 12 mph with a little gust and will stay this way throughout the day.
We have a low tide at 9:53 a.m. High tide at 4:14 p.m. The next low tide will be at 10:32 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 2.0ft from mixed directions at 5 seconds East. No swell at the buoy. No swell at the beach.
Small surf today, maybe a little bump on the rising tide for the bigger boards, but mostly blah. We have high pressure dominating our weather, and it will stay smack dab over our marine area. If it bumps slightly north and east perhaps we could see a thigh-high longboard wave in the form of a small trade-wind style swell Sunday into Monday, but nothing to push the guys that want to work on their air-reverse.
Your National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will extend across the area through early next week. A cold front could approach late next week.
The water temperature is hovering right around 79. It’s currently 74 and partly sunny at the beach with a strong breeze. Looks like we have some clouds and a high of 79 today.
Sunrise 6:12 a.m., Sunset 8:23 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
