Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, June 25 at 8:30 a.m.

Waves at The Pier are knee MAYBE thigh high. Still pretty dang small. Bring the log or foamy if you want to get in the water.

Winds are north/north-east at 10 knots. Surf zone is semi-clean, early. The beach is super crowded already.

Winds are going to pick up out of the east at 15 knots this afternoon, and we see surface chop on the water as waves remain in the knee-to-thigh high range for today.

We have a low tide at 11:49 a.m. High tide will be at 6:21 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 6 seconds in a short-period south-east swell.

We have small waves for today, but bring the log and you might catch something. We have easterly winds throughout the weekend. May get a little bump on Sunday. Not much generating swell into next week so we are expecting minimal to small surf throughout the week. Welcome to summertime.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will build from the north through the weekend. A cold front may stall over the area during the middle of next week, which could bring increased chances for showers and thunderstorms.”

It’s nice at the beach. It’s 80* with sunshine. Look for a high of 84* and sunny today with an onshore breeze. Looks like we have a beautiful weekend in store.

Water Temperature is around 84*.

Sunrise is at 6:13 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:31 p.m.
