Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, June26 at 8:30 a.m.

We have some good-looking new twin sets back in stock from Futures Fins. Come check them out.

Surf at Folly is knee-to-thigh high. There is an occasional bigger set, but it’s soft and bumpy at the morning’s high tide. Best for a high volume board.

Winds are north-north-east at 5 to 8 knots, and surf zone is bumpy.

Look for winds to come easterly today at 10 to 15, making surf choppy this afternoon with side/on-shore winds.

We have a high tide at 9:46 a.m., and low tide will be at 3:47 pm. The next high tide is at 10:27 p.m.

There is some longboard surf out there this morning. It’s bumpy and soft. It’s rideable if you need to get wet. Look for choppier surf this afternoon as winds pick up from the east. We see thigh high surf start to build late day, with a small trade wind style ground-swell arriving for Sunday and continuing into next week as high pressure sets up on-shore flow for Sunday and into early next week. Winds trend east for the period, and surf should be bumpy and side-shore, but likely some small rideable swell Sunday and into the early part of the next work week. There are several tropical waves of note in the Western and Central Atlantic. Not much development possible, but these systems can add to our on-shore flow and push up some small summer swells.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “Atlantic high pressure will generally prevail through next week, although weak low pressure will bring periods of unsettled weather at times.”

It’s 77* and cloudy at the beach this morning. Look for a high of 83* and partly cloudy skies this afternoon.

Water temperature is around 83*.

Sunrise is at 6:13 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:31 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
