Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, June 3rd at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at the Folly around knee-thigh high and looking pretty gutless, although enough to have some fun on the logs.
Winds are north-east at 13+ knots, and surf is semi clean.
We have high tide at report time. Low tide drains out at 1:53 p.m with another high to finish our day at 8:25 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 ft at 7 seconds in a short period period swell from the ENE.
Surf is running knee-thigh high out at folly this morning. Its enough to shove the logs for a ride but don’t get to excited. High pressure sits over our marine area generating a smalls shot of ENE wind-swell for our weekend. We also have the 1st named storm of the Hurricane season Tropical Storm Arlene sitting in the eastern Gulf looks to loose her steam later today, the remnants later eventually push off south Florida but not expecting her to give us really anything at the moment. Long range not a whole lot on the horizon for us.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “ A weak cold front will drop south through the area tonight. High pressure returns for the first half of next week. Another front could move through the area towards the middle of next week.”
Its 72* with a mix of sun and clouds look for a high of 77*
Water temperature dropped back to 70* with the short cold snap. It’ll be warm again before you know it.
Sunrise is at 6:14 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:19 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
