Good morning this is Bates with you Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, March 4 at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at Folly this morning waist-to-chest high with an occasional larger set and looks super fun this morning.
Winds are west at 5 to 10, knots, and surf zone is clean.
We had an early morning high tide, and low tide will be at noon. The next high tide is at 6:05 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 6 feet at 8 seconds in a medium period south swell, with a south wind swell4 feet at 5 seconds.
We have fun surf in the water today, and all your friends (and maybe your enemies, too) are here on a Saturday morning. We should see fun surf today with moderate westerly winds and pretty warm weather. This swell should fade overnight into Sunday as winds become stronger from the northwest – straight off-shore, overnight. This smaller surf trend continues into early in the work week.
The NOAA Marine Weather forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will build into the area today and prevail through Monday. A cold front will cross the region on Tuesday. High pressure will return thereafter.”
It’s 66* and there is sun mixed with clouds. Look for a high of 73* with clouds and sunshine mixed.
Water temperature is up to 65*.
The days are getting longer. Sunrise is at 6:47 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:16 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
