Waves at Folly this morning are knee-thigh high with a few larger waist high peaks in a short to medium period east, south-east swell. Overall, waves look pretty weak but plenty to learn on or teach the kiddos.

Winds are light and variable this morning making for clean surface conditions.

Winds are predicted to remain light though the day today trending more South in the afternoon. Overall conditions should remain clean today.

High tide is at 1:58 p.m., and low tide will be at 7:59 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.9 ft at 7.7 seconds in a ESE swell.

Surf looks small this Saturday morning showing thigh high sets enough for the logs and kids! This small swell were are seeing should hold for the remainder of the weekend. Looking ahead Monday a strong Low departs of the NE coast and pushes a decent NE swell into the Atlantic. This swell unfortunately has to much north for us so if you can plan a quick trip to florida that would be your call. Otherwise High pressure builds back into our marine area this coming week and surf looks generally small. Tropics are heating up there is a low in the central Atlantic to watch also another spot in the gulf that has potential. These are not wave makers for us yet but we will keep you posted if anything changes.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will slowly approach from the west today, before passing through the area tonight. High pressure will then build into the area and prevail through much of next week.”

It’s 80 degrees with sun mixed with clouds this morning beautiful day. Look for a high of 83 degrees.

Water temperature is around 78*.  Back to boardies and bikinis.

Sunrise is at 6:14 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:21 p.m.
