Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop report at 9:30 a.m. for Saturday, Nov 2nd 2024. It’s a beautiful day to be at Folly. Swing in and say hello.
Surf at The Washout is waist to stomach high with some bigger sets here and there. A little soft with the high tide. Winds are currently 4 mph from the north-northeast and the surf is pretty clean right now. Definitely worth checking it out and getting some surf in this morning!
Winds will shift out of the east blowing around 4-6 mph throughout the day.
High tide was at 9:00 am. We will have a low tide at 3:13 p.m. and then a high tide after dark at 9:05 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 3.6 feet at 8.3 seconds in a medium period east/south-east ground swell. There is still swell showing, but will probably get smaller against the dropping tide.
Another fun morning of surf on tap. Should continue into the rest of today as winds stay fairly light out of the east. Winds pickup tonight out of the northeast around 10-15 mph and continue with gusty winds into Monday night. Get it today while you can. The beginning of the week will have some surf but drifty and choppy likely.
Our guys over at NOAA predict that “A backdoor cold front will move through late today into Sunday. High pressure will then return through the middle of next week.”
Water temp is 70*
It’s 72* and mostly sunny. Looks like the sun will stay out today with a high of 80*.
Sunrise was at 7:37 a.m. and Sunset will be at 6:28 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
