Dangers: Connector Run on JI.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop sunrise surf report and forecast for Saturday, October 26 at 8:30 a.m.

The JI Connector is closed until 11 a.m. today for the annual 10K run, so navigate into that one.

We have our board shorts and bikinis marked down at least 20%. We have a great selection so stop on by and enjoy this warm weather. We also just received tons of “Ocean Surf Shop – Folly Beach, S.C.” hoodies for men and women. Come buy some sale stuff from us so we can continue doing surf reports. Haha.

Surf at The Pier is knee-high with a thigh set at the low tide early this morning.

Tide is hurting it, but maybe a longboard glide when the tide turns. It’s been getting push mid-tide on the incoming this week. So, late morning might be a small longboard wave to be had.

Winds are slack this morning but expected side/off-shore westerly at 10 knots ahead of a cold front passage overnight.

We had a low tide at 10 a.m. High tide will be 4:24 p.m., and a low tide at 10:45 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 3 feet at 10 seconds in long period east swell with a bit of north angle on it. Most of this swell is headed to our south.

Our guys over at NOAA predict that a “High pressure will dominate the region today. A cold front will drop south through the area tonight into Sunday morning with high pressure prevailing into much of next week.

Hope for a longboard glide late morning as westerly winds go south-west later today ahead of a cold front. North-east winds will follow behind the front Sunday, and the first part of the work week sees choppy north-east wind swell for our beaches. This rotates more onshore late week as a frontal boundary lingers offshore and a tropical low is forecast to come east out of the Caribbean and near DR/Puerto Rico. See how it develops. Not looking like many clean conditions next week, but There will be some surf next week. We’ll keep you updated.

It’s 68* and clear. Look for a warm day with a high of around 82* and sun today. #follybeach #surfreport #tinyswellleft

Sunrise is at 7:32 a.m., Sunset 6:35 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast. #follybeach #surfreport #tinyswellleft
