Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, Oct 29th at 9:00 a.m.

Lots of new flannels and fleece at the shop for your fall wardrobe. Come check us out when you get to the beach.

Waves at The Washout are running thigh high with a waist set. It’s pretty clean with the north wind but fairly weak. A board with some volume wouldn’t be a bad choice.

Winds are north at 10 knots with gust to 13 knots and surf zone is pretty clean.

Winds are forecasted to go more northeast today at 10-15 knots with 20 knot gusts. Although that forecast has been changing a little as it has been holding more north than predicted mid week.

High tide is at 11:26 a.m., and low tide will be at 5:50 p.m. The next high tide is at 11:38 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 9 seconds in an east/north-east swell mixed with a 5.6 feet and 6.7 seconds wind swell out of the north-east.

Any swell has mostly been passing by us and what we are getting is fairly weak. We expect it to maybe get a little bigger if the winds go more northeast, but expect some chop to it.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “Low pressure will arrive and produce a period of cooler, unsettled weather this weekend. Weak high pressure will then build into the region next week.”

Water temperature is running around 69*, dude!

It’s 61* and cloudy. Look for a high of 67* and cloudy skies today with windy conditions and a slight chance of rain tonight.

Sunrise is at 7:33 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:33 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.

Weekly Wave Forecast

Any swell has mostly been passing by us and what we are getting is fairly weak. We expect it to maybe get a little bigger if the winds go more northeast but expect some chop to it. There is some tropical activity in the south Caribbean and off the NC coast, but we don’t expect too much from either.
