Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, September 7th at 9:30 a.m.
Sorry for the delay this morning. We are fully back up and running thankfully we fared well and like to extend the hope that you all did to.
Surf at The Pier this morning is Flat to ankle high and weak overall.
Winds are SW at 5-10 knots, surf is side shore close and semi choppy as a result
Look for wind to persist into the afternoon hours forecasted to stay under 10 kts for the day.
We will have a low tide at 09:08 a.m., and a low tide will be at 3:54 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.0 ft. at 7 seconds in SE swell.
Surf has dropped off significantly since our last report. With Dorian long gone out of our window we see flat surf throughout the weekend and early week. Although the tropics haver certainly woken up and eyes should be scanning those areas this time of year.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A weak front will move into the area this weekend and dissipate.High pressure will then prevail early next week.”
It’s 83* at the beach this morning and sunny beauty of a day. Look for a high of 91* with partly cloudy skies.
Water temperature is around 85*.
Sunrise is at 6:52 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:46 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
