Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, September 22 at 8:30 a.m.

We have tons of wetsuit tops, jackets and spring-suits for men and women. Come on by and pick one up as the morning air temperatures is starting to cool off some.

Surf at The Washout this morning is in the knee to waist high range with a rare belly high set. It is clean, with a north wind at 5 knots. Waves should improve with the incoming tide.

Look for east-north-east winds – more on-shore – this afternoon at 10 knots, adding some chop

Tide is coming in this morning. We have a high tide at 2:32 p.m., and a low tide will be at 8:50 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 ft. at 11 seconds in a long-period east ground swell.

Surf at the washout looks fun for the high volume sticks running in the waist high range and clean peelers early. Humberto swell is on the decline through the day although look for reinforcing groundswell from Jerry to begin filtering in later in the day into tomorrow. Looking ahead our work week looks active as groundswell arrives and builds from TS Jerry early week with lighter winds in the forecast looking like some fun conditions. Mid-week Look for Newly named TS Karen to push north over the virgin islands into our swell window and reinforce swell from Jerry. Also a fresh new wave off Africa looking healthy. Lots of action in the Atlantic for the next 10 days. Well keep you posted but safe to say well be surfing a lot!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail early this week. A weak cold front will move into the area Tuesday, then linger through late week as tropical cyclone Jerry passes by well offshore.”

We have nice weather this morning. It’s 70* and sunny. Look for a high of 83* and sun today.

Water temperature is 80*.

Sunrise is at 7:06 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:18 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
