Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 a.m.
You can now park in right-of-way on the side streets at Folly Monday through Thursday. Keep in mind parking restrictions still apply Friday through Sunday. Check the City of Folly Beach’s Web site for more information.
We still have a mandatory mask ordinance in effect for Folly Beach.
Surf at Folly is knee-thigh and could be a plus set on the incoming tide push this morning.
Winds are north-west 0-5 and conditions are clean this morning.
Look for winds to remain light throughout the day.
Low tide is at 10:16 a.m., and high tide will be at 5:00 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is down, but virtual buoy is showing 3.5 ft at 5 seconds in a building, short-period south/south-east wind swell.
Looks kind of fun this morning for a higher volume stick. Sets knee-thigh+. This Southern wind-swell holds today before fading tonight into Sunday Morning. Small trades swell lingers around knee high until mid-week we see a approaching front kick surf back up into the waist to belly high range. Some surf in the forecast. Tropics have gone mute for the time being.
Your NOAA forecast “Weak high pressure will prevail today, before a warm front lifts north through the area late Sunday and Monday. A cold front will shift through the region late Tuesday into Wednesday, followed by high pressure through late next week.”
It’s 78* and cloudy mixed with sun. Look for a high today of 83 and partly cloudy skies.
Water temperature has dropped with the cooler weather, is 75*.
Sunrise is at 7:10 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:10 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
