Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, September 29 at 8:30 a.m.

We have tons of wetsuit tops, jackets and spring-suits for men and women. Come on by and pick one up as the morning air temperature is starting to cool off some.

Surf at The Washout this morning is knee-to-thigh high peelers and looks somewhat fun for the high volume sticks.

Winds are blowing from the North at about 5 knots clean conditions early.

Look for light NE winds at 5-10 knots this afternoon putting some texture to it.

We are coming off a high tide this morning, and low tide will be at 3:03 p.m. The next high tide will be at 9:20 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2 ft. at 8 seconds in a small SSE swell.

Surf currently looks decent on the mornings high tide running thigh high and clean runners. Surf should drop on the outgoing tide later this morning. Looking into the work week, we see building Lorenzo swell filling in Monday and should peak Tuesday afternoon weds morning into the Shoulder high range. That swell fades slowly through the remainder of the work week. This Lorenzo swell will be very long period which means you may need to look around to see wheres working. Long range late week strong cold front approaches and strong NNE wind-swell looks to pass our shores and head to Northern Florida.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail today. A weak cold front will cross the area from the north on Monday, followed by a return to high pressure thereafter. Another cold front is expected to pass through the area late week.”

We have nice weather this morning. It’s 74* and sunny. Look for a hot day with a high of 90* and partly cloudy skies today.

Water temperature is 80*.

Sunrise is at 7:11 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:09 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
