Surf at Folly this morning is knee-thigh high. Looks like a fun morning to bust out the logs again this morning.
Winds are from the west at 5 knots, and surf is looking pretty clean.
Look for winds to turn from the NE to 10 knots later today adding some texture and funk to it.
We have a high tide at 10:34 a.m. and a low tide will be at 4:34 pm.
The Edisto Buoy is down this morning. Surflines buoys is reading 2.3ft in ESE swell at 8 seconds.
Surf Is knee-thigh high range this morning and looks like a fun morning for the logs. Surf otherwise stays the same or down some over the next few days. Looking ahead we look for increase in ESE trade swell mid next week in the waist+ area. The two lows in the Eastern Atlantic we mentioned yesterday are still pushing our way. Models are all over the place in terms of Strength and paths. Either way still looks like we should get something out of them next weekend. A lot will change in the models on there longterm outcomes but keep your eyes on them.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will drop through the area today and tonight as high pressure builds from the north. A broad area of low pressure will then develop over the Southeast on Wednesday and persist through late week.”
It’s 91* and mostly sunny. Look for another hot, humid day with a high of 95 and a heat index well into the 100* mark.
Water temperature is 86*.
Sunrise is at 6:55 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:41 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
