September 9th Pier
Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Mon, Sep 9th at 8:45 am.
Waves at the pier this morning have gained some energy and size for sure. There is a little bit of texture on the faces from the strong NE winds today but tons of energy in the water if you must get wet! Couple stomach high to the occasional bigger set waves are coming through this morning as well. Overall, a solid session could happen on a fish or middy today. You might want to consider the ole top with that breeze too. All wetsuits and tops showed up to the shop so stop by pre or post surf sender to check it out before all the good stuff is gone!
Winds are currently 15kt out of the northeast, with gust of 20kt. We see steady winds all day too. Thus, adding some bumps to the waves it’s still looking fun.
High tide was 9:36 a.m., low tide is 3:45 p.m. with a late evening high tide at 9:58 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is showing swell from the ENE at 7.2 ft. at 8 seconds.
Our friends at NOAA predict a; “Surface high pressure will prevail through the end of the week.” Let’s hope that they predict us some solid surf before everyone is in wetsuits and not as stoked here soon!
Water temperature is around 80*.
It is 68* and cloudy. Look for a high of 80* with clouds and wind throughout the day.
