Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for
Sunday, March 25 at 8:30 a.m.
New Rusty Torsion Spring models are in the shop, as well as the stringerless Big Block models, come check them out.
Surf at the Washout is knee to thigh high with an occasional waist high set and could build slightly as the tide comes in mid-morning.
Winds are north at 5-7knots, surf zone is fairly clean.
Look for north-easterly winds at 10 knots later this morning, going north-east mid-afternoon. Surf shows some bump this afternoon, but there might be a decent wave out there for a longboard or fish.
Low tide is at 9:17 a.m. and high tide will be at 3:23 p.m. The next low tide is at 9:35 p.m.
Edisto buoy is 6.9 ft. at 10 seconds in steep NNE with South Southwest wind swell mixed in.
Surf looks small but rideable in the knee to thigh high range in NNE swell. We see a quick shot of fickle south/south-west wind swell this morning for your Sunday morning session before winds become strong north-east this afternoon. We see drifty, high-angled north-east wind swell begin to develop late today, building Monday. This trend should continue Tuesday, dropping some size mid-week. This swell rotates more southerly late next work week as another cold front approaches. There should be some rideable surf of mediocre quality for your work week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A weak backdoor cold front will drop into the area today before stalling. The front will push further southward through the entire area on Sunday, followed by cool high pressure into mid week. Warmer conditions arrive late week before another cold front pushes through the area Friday. Dry high pressure will then return over the weekend.
It is 50* with rain this morning. Look for a high of 56* today with rain and clouds.
Water temperature is back down to 58* after the week’s cold snap.
Sunset is at 7:34 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:16 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
