Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, April 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Sorry, no pictures or video today because of a camera malfunction.

It doesn’t really matter, because we’d be taking pictures of flat surf.

Waves at the Washout are flat with continued off-shore flow.

Winds are west/north-west at 5 knots, and surf zone is very clean.

Look for westerly winds today at 10 knots, and surf stays small today.

We have a low tide at 9:35 a.m., and a high tide at 3:48 pm. The next low tide is at 9:40 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.6 feet at 6 seconds in a short period south wind swell.

High pressure is set up over our marine area into Monday. We don’t expect much surf. The next significant swell will likely arrive overnight on Wednsday when another front approaches and pushes in a south swell late next week. But for today, enjoy the beautiful and cool day.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will bring dry conditions and rising temperatures through the middle of the week. A cold front is expected to bring our area unsettled weather Thursday into Friday. Another cold front might impact the region on Saturday.”

It’s currently a chilly 47* and sunny. Look for a cool spring beach day with perfect weather. We’ll see a high around 65* and sun all day.

Water Temperature dropped back to around 65*.  It’ll go up again later this week.

Sunrise is at 6:55 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:46 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
