Good morning, this is Brad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, April 18 at 8:00 a.m.

We just received a shipment of mid-length surfboards from Solid Surf in San Diego and a bunch of great short and long-boards from Greg Geiselman at Orion Surfboards in New Smyrna Beach. Come check them out. We are stocked up with some beautiful boards.

Surf at The Washout this morning is shin to knee high.

Winds are west/south-west at 5 knots, and surf-zone is clean and weak.

Look for winds to switch to the south west at 5 to 10 early afternoon, and remain below or around 10 knots into the evening.

Tide is now coming in, and we have a high tide at 12:39 p.m. Low tide will be at 6:47 p.m.

Virtual buoy readings are showing 1.1 ft. at 10 seconds in a long period, high-angled east/north-east swell.

A front stalls off-shore through early next week, and it’s looking like light winds for the next four days and there is not much swell in the forecast. Not the best forecast, but it can’t stay small forever, even though it feels like it sometimes. Keep an eye out for a possible push of some waves next weekend, as a result of potential low pressure impacting the region. We will keep you posted!

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather forecast calls for: “A stationary front will linger offshore and to the south early this week. A cold front will cross the region on Wednesday, followed by dry high pressure through late week. Low pressure could impact the region next weekend.”

It’s a little cloudy and 64* this morning with intermittent sun. Look for a high of 73*, with sun and clouds mixed this afternoon.

Water temperature is around 68*.

Sunrise is at 6:45 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:52 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
