Sunday April 28th

Semi-choppy

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: thigh-belly
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good Saturday morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday April 28 at 8:00 a.m.

We have a ton of spring-suits and jackets in the shop, so as we get some spring swell, come check it out and stay warm with Ocean Surf Shop.

Surf at Folly is about thigh-belly high overall looking like a decent day of surf. Winds are light onshore so a little funk to it but its worth a paddle.

Winds are currently ESE around 10-15mph

We have a high tide approaching 11:25 a.m. with the tide dropping out to low at 5:33 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 4.6 feet at 8 seconds in medium period SE swell.

High pressure sits well offshore generating some onshore flow the last 24 hours or so. Showing thigh-waist+ at the moment. Swell is just beginning to rotate more SE which will help out. Surf should drop slightly over the next few days although its still looking to be rideable on the right equipment through mid-week.

our National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through much of next week. A weak cold front could approach late next week.”

Water temperature is hovering right around 70*, so spring suits and jackets are the call for mornings and evenings.

It’s a currently 68* sunny mixed with clouds and breezy. Today will be partly cloudy with a high of 73* and windy.

Sunrise 6:35 a.m., Sunset 7:58 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
