Good morning! This is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, Aug 11th at 8:30 am.
Waves are looking decent knee-waist high incoming tide push will probably help. Winds are light out of the SW this morning its pretty clean.
Winds are west/southwest at 6mph this morning. Look for winds to pick up out of the south around noon today at 12 mph.
Low tide was at 6:49 am, high tide today will be at 1:28 pm. Next low is this evening at 7:42 pm.
Edisto buoy is showing 3.9 ft at 5 sec in a medium period SSW wind swell.
Surf is still lingering around knee-waist high its slowly fading out and that trends into our early week. Looking ahead Invest 98L has formed east of the Lesser Antilles and is moving westward in towards our general direction. Models suggest Ernesto will be formed by Wednesday just north of Puerto Rico. Look for further strengthening and ESE ground-swell pulses to start hitting our shorelines Late weds and a building trend into Friday. Wax em up get your chores done weve got surf coming.
