Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, December 6 at 8:30 a.m.

We do sell gift cards for the surfer in your life. Call us at (843)588-9175 if you need one mailed to you, and thanks for supporting Ocean Surf Shop!

Surf at Folly is flat with an occasional knee-high set.

Winds are north/north-west at 5 to 8 knots, and surf-zone is clean and weak. Better bring a log if you want to get wet.

Look for north-easterly winds at 50 to 10, going south-east this afternoon.

We have a high tide at 11:35 a.m., and a low tide will be at 6:06 p.m.

Virtual buoy data is showing 1.1 ft at 10 seconds in a small easterly ground swell.

Unfortunately we don’t expect too much surf over the next several days as we see off-shore flow in the forecast much of next week. We should see another quick shot of south wind swell as a cold front passes late next weekend.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will extend across the region today. Low pressure will develop off the Carolina coast tonight, then strengthen Monday as it pulls away. High pressure will then build over the area and persist into next weekend. A cold front is expected to cross the region Sunday.”

It’s a beautiful morning at the beach. It’s 46* with sun. Look for sun and increasing clouds later with a high of 59* today.

Water temperature is around 61*.

Sunrise is at 7:08 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:12 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
