From Folly its Victory at sea 0 beach. Looked about shoulder-head high with some overhead nugs. Its building we may get a before dark cleanup once this storm lifts north. Cross your fingers say a prayer.
Currently winds are blowing near Gail 25-35 with higher gust from the SE. It’s a mess, but again winds could trend more Northerly before dark.
High tide is approaching at 11:20 a.m., Low tide will be at 5:38 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is currently reading 13.8 ft at 10 seconds from the ESE.
We have our low pressure intensifying and crossing Florida as we speak, swell is going to continue building. Its looking like head high surf with some overhead sets currently. Again it’s a mess out there not really surfable. We may get a cleanup before dark. Monday this system will have lifted well north of us which will generate Westerly winds and cleaner conditions. We should have some leftover surf that will be biggest early and fading gradually through tomorrow. High pressure looks to return some log waves thereafter.
NOAA Forecast: “A nor’easter will bring impacts to our region this weekend, followed by high pressure next week.”
Current water temp: 60*.
It’s pouring rain very windy and unpleasant. Look for a high of around 60*
Sunrise is 7:14 a.m., Sunset 5:15 p.m.
