Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, January 29 at 8:30 a.m.

New Odysea boards have arrived at the shop, as well as men’s and women’s Reef and Rainbow sandals. Come check it out.

Also the WSL season officially begins today with the waiting period starting at Pipe to kick off the 2023 season.

Surf at Folly this morning is pretty flat and weak.

Winds are light out of the east putting some texture to the surface.

Winds should continue variable around 5 to 8 knots today, and surf zone will stay relatively clean all day.

We are coming off a low tide at report time. High tide will fill in at 2:18 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.0 feet a 7 seconds in a medium period south-east swell.

Surf looks pretty weak this Sunday morning ankle to knee high at best. We look for a weak low pressure system to impact our area tonight into tomorrow morning until pushing offshore. Once this low pushes off our NE coast tomorrow afternoon, it may give a slight window of rideable surf. Mid-week the surf stays relatively down, a shot of NE swell will pass our shores mostly and hit Florida. Another weak low pressure looks to possibly push up another wave towards the end of next week we’ll keep you posted.

The NOAA Marine Weather forecast for our area calls for: “A storm system will impact the region today and into early Monday. Another storm system is possible towards the end of next week.”

It’s 55* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 66* with building cloudiness and rain eventually towards the evening hours.

Water temperature, it’s 55*.

Sunrise is at 7:18 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:49 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
