Sunday, July 26
Good morning, this is Bates with your Folly Beach, Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, July 26 at 8:30 a.m.
The women continue shredding today at The Wahine contest up at The Washout. Go show the women some support today and check it out.
With construction and Wahine Warriors taking up a lot of parking, we were lazy and walked up to The Pier to see what the surf is like. You’ve read this before in regards to Folly’s surf: It’s knee-to-thigh high.
Winds are light out of the west, and surf is weak and clean as the tide goes out this morning.
We see winds from the east today at 5 to 8 knots, and surf should stay clean and weak all day.
Low tide is at noon. High tide is at 6:46 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is 2.3 feet at 7 seconds from the ESE.
Swell and surf are almost identical to yesterday’s. Bring the log if you need the glide. The surf will stay the same through Monday. Look for a frontal boundary to approach and stall near our marine area mid-week, which kicks up some choppy, short-period, south-west wind swell for Tuesday into Wednesday with drifty conditions. Nothing really looks to be cooking except south-west wind swell as the tropics are quiet for the next five days.
It’s a humid 82* with clouds and sun mixed. Look for a humid day and a high of 85*. We see scattered strong thunderstorms across the area again around 2-3 p.m.
Water 6:30 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:21 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
