Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, July 30th at 730 a.m. Good luck to everyone surfing the Wahine Contest this weekend!

Surf has dropped slightly since yesterday looking at knee-thigh with some rare waist high sets. Winds have clocked around offshore surf is clean. Great longboard morning.  You will also be surfing with every surfer within the 843 yeah its packed at 6:45 a.m

Winds are expected to be out west 5-10mph providing clean surf today.

Low tide is at 12:23 p.m. The next high tide is at 6:51 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3ft at 9 seconds in a medium period east/south-east swell.

Surf as previously mentioned has dropped off a bit but still showing knee-waist high surf. Its clean and overall looks like a fun longboard morning. This swell is on a slow fading trend. Looking ahead surf should stay down early work week, although perhaps a log wave on appropriate tides. Mid-week were keeping our eyes on the Caribbean invest 96 as it moves westward towards our swell window. Will it become a named system? It’s a good question, either way I do think we will see some benefits from this system showing mid-late week as small but decent groundswell should fill in.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “Low pressure will pass across the region today. A weak cold front is expected to sag into the region by early next week, and likely stall over the area through mid week. High pressure is expected to return by midweek.”

Water temperature is around 85*.

It’s 78* with sun mixed with clouds. Look for temperatures to climb up to 92* today.

Sunrise is at 6:29 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:22 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
