Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Saturday, June 17th at 8:30 a.m.
Happy Fathers Day!
Surf at Folly this looking about knee high at best. Perhaps enough to push the logs this morning. Overall not looking to hot.
Winds are east south-east at 5-10mph and the surf just has a little surface texture as a result.
We have a high tide at 8:45 p.m. Low will drop out at 2:45 p.m. with high tide at sunset at 8:35 p.m. to finish the day.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.6 feet at 4 seconds in a short-period south swell.
Surfs dropped a bit since yesterday. Only showing knee high sets and weak overall. Surf stays down to start our work week. Small southerly wind-swell should begin to build slightly mid-week into the end of the work week. Growing confidence in our Caribbean low pressure now invest 92. Its way out in the western Atlantic and heading our way. Were still in the early stages of forecasting surf produced by hopefully named storm Bret. We will keep you in the loop as this storm continues its development stages.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “Low pressure will develop across the region and then prevail into late week.Water temperature is around 77*.”
Its 77* and sunny. Look for a high of around 81* and a beautiful beach day.
Sunrise is at 6:11 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:29 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
