Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, June 4th at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at the Folly around thigh-waist high in high angled drifty NE wind-swell.
Winds are north-east at 15-25 mph today surf will remain choppy and drifty throughout today.
We have high tide at report time. Low tide drains out at 2:41 p.m Big tide swings with the full moon.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.9 ft at 6 seconds in a short period period swell from the NE.
Surfs built slightly overnight thanks to our NE winds blowing. Looking at thigh-waist high drifty NE wind-swell for your Sunday. Might be a leftover Log wave on tomorrow mornings high tide. Your work week should start out small. Mid-week we have a front approaching that should generate a quick pulse of SW wind-swell with a high pressure sitting to our South-east we should also have some onshore flow with perhaps a small SE trade-swell to enhance that energy from the front. Tomorrow morning and Mid-week are your targets for this week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “ A weak cold front will drop south through the area tonight. High pressure returns for the first half of next week. Another front could move through the area towards the middle of next week.”
Its 71* with overcast skies look for a high of 75*
Water temperature dropped back to 70* with the short cold snap. It’ll be warm again before you know it.
Sunrise is at 6:14 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:19 p.m.
