Good morning, this is Luke the kook with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Easter Sunday, March 31st at 8:45 a.m.  Looks like we have a beautiful day of weather in store for us today.

Surf is about knee high at the washout with a little texture this morning on the incoming tide

Winds are out of the west at 7 knots. We expect winds to turn out of the south-west today at 10-15 knots with 20 knot gusts.

We have a high tide at 12:26 p.m. Our low tide will be 6:40 p.m

Edisto Buoy is reading 3.6 ft at 6 seconds in short period SW wind-swell.

Surf is pretty flat. We have high pressure taking back control over our marine area for the foreseeable future. Look for south westerly winds to prevail into the middle of next week. We do have a system approaching Weds that looks a little better for wave production, Look for winds to crank up Tues night into Weds morning from the SSW building short period SSW wind-swell. Front pushes through and winds will turn hard offshore, Weds afternoon is a time to target. Nothing epic but should be some surf.

NOAA Marine Forecast: “High pressure will extend into the area through Tuesday. A cold front could impact the area around the middle of next week.”

The water temp is around 62*.

Its  58* degrees and sunshine has returned with a high of around 73 today*

Sunrise is 7:09 a.m., Sunset 7:38 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
