Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, May 9th at 9:30 a.m.
Lots of new boards and new gear for men and women is arriving daily for spring and summer. Come get your swag game up like we all know ya need.
Surf at the Pier is running knee high with light and variable winds.
Look for SW winds today 10-15mph in the afternoon hours.
We have a low tide at report time. high tide at 2:06 p.m. look for a low tide at 8:07 P.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.3ft at 7 seconds from the E. swell
A stalled front is currently over our low country area keeping the surf lack-luster although a small longboard wave is available this morning. Surf stays generally down early work week. Mid-work week upcoming strong high pressure takes over the central Atlantic and its looking favorable for us to get a little bit of a trade-swell from the SE to head our way. Waist to belly high surf should be building in on Weds keep yours eyes on it.
It’s 71* and Sun mixed with clouds Look for some sun to poke out with a high of 76*.
Water temperature took a little dive with the heavy rain. It’s around 68*.
Sunrise is at 6:28 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:06 p.m.
