Surf has dropped overnight showing knee-thigh high with some waist high sets. Surf will begin to drop out Sunday afternoon. High pressure will then return and settle in over our marine area keeping the surf on a downward trend Monday through the middle of your work week. Long range models hinting at another locally produced low pressure system to develop near Florida and again push off their coastline well keep you posted as we get closer and more confident.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “. A coastal low is forecast to move onshore north of the Santee River early this morning, drifting slowly northward through Memorial Day. A mid-level disturbance may linger along the Southeast Atlantic coast well into next week.”
Its 63*, cool, overcast this morning. Look for a high of 70* with mostly cloudy skies some sunshine later today.
Water temperature is 75*. Might drop a few degrees today. It’ll be right back up next week. p
Sunrise is at 6:14 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:19 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
