Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, May 7th at 9a.m.
Surfs picked up a bit showing Knee-thigh high with a waist high set on this mornings high tide. Looks fun for the logs.
Winds are light and variable this morning surfs really clean. Winds will eventually pick up from the South 10-20mph and chop the surf up as the day moves on.
We have a high tide today at 9:49 a.m. Low tide will drain out at 3:48 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 ft at 10 seconds from the SSE .
Surf looking fun again this Sunday morning knee-thigh peelers to get the logs wet. We have a couple weak fronts moving in later today late Monday generating small SW wind-swell knee to waist high at best with onshore winds. Mid-week that wind-swell is due to fade out. A series of mild Low pressures then sit off the mid-Atlantic generating a decent NE swell to hit Florida late this coming week. That swell will mostly pass our shores unfortunately.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail early week, then slowly give way to a weak cold front mid week. High pressure should then return late week and persist through the weekend.”
Its 72 this morning with sunny skies. Temps should pick up to upper 70s with sunshine skies.
Water temperature is 72*.
Sunrise is at 6:28 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:05 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
